As we gather around the Thanksgiving table, now is a good time to really look at those with whom we share a common thread. You may just be meeting someone, others may be acquaintances you haven't seen in some time, while others may be family members ... some of whom you consider friends, others may be family by blood only. Hopefully, most of your family members fit the category of those you respect and hold in high regard. Regardless of the current status they hold in your heart, everyone around the table does has a common thread . . . they came to have a place to feel cared for and to share a holiday meal. Often times it is those holiday celebrations that offer us an opportunity to confront those "difficult relationships" and consider if it's time to let go of any past differences. Afterall, most of us have said or done things we wish we hadn't, and in most cases, we feel the loss of the relationship.
Thanksgiving is a grand time to remember how and why this holiday was created. If each of us remembered those origins, we would approach the opportunity to gather as one of celebrating what is good in our lives . . . in our families. Perhaps this Thanksgiving we can choose to find the blessings in our lives. If there is someone we have a strained relationship with, use this holiday to begin the healing process . . . one glance, one bite of pumpkin pie at a time offers a second glance and perhaps a smile. It's called, "baby steps." If we will pause and consider how fortunate we are to live in this beautiful country, despite all the upheaval and rhetoric being espoused, now is the time to look for the good; the things in our life, our family, and our country and hold those blessings close. Notice the number of "common folks" and wealthy ones who are giving of themselves, their resources and extending a helping hand to those in need. Perhaps this Thanksgiving will be the turning point we have been praying for, when forgiveness, and unconditional love are at the forefront of any differences we may have with anyone. You are the starting point . . . take the first step! Just maybe we will be reflections of the very first Thanksgiving that brought together those "strangers" who saw each other as "enemies" and a fire will be lit that brings more light to the world in 2026! Then we will know precisely what the indigenous mean when they say, "All Our Relations!" It begins in the Heart and extends to all inhabitants on Earth Mother! Yes, that includes the critters, trees, creepy crawlees and the very earth beneath our feet! The next Full Moon is December 4, which is referenced as the Cold Moon. Gives Praise is the Clan Mother that heralds in her energy and offers us the opportunity to "Give Thanks" for the Truth. Her color is purple which carries the energy of healing and gratitude. She teaches us how to be grateful for everything we experience in life and in returning thanks, we are shown how to make space in our lives for future abundance. Speaking of future abundance, our most recent Infinite Possibilities retreat was a tremendous blessing to all in attendance. While it is a lengthy retreat, it is well worth the time and energy to create what you truly desire in your life. As a new certified teacher of IP, this last presentation was more in line with my heart's knowing. It was taught using the Mandala as the framework. I absolutely love the ease in which things flow in harmony and unity. There really is something about the Sacred Circle that brings clarity and understanding to "All Our Relations" in life. From My Heart to yours, Thank you for being on Earth Mother at this great time of Rebirth, expansion and Love. Vicky
